Terms of use
The rules for using this site and taking an online class.
These terms apply when you use this website or take an online class from Wastewater Academy, the training arm of Wastewater Solutions, Inc. By buying or using a class you agree to them.
What you get
Each class is self-paced and online. You get access to the class content, and a student manual to download where the class page lists one. Nothing else is shipped.
Quiz and certificate
Each class has a certification quiz that only a paid student of that class can open, from the link on the class thank-you page. A certificate of completion is issued only to a paid student who passes it: one certificate, with its own number, for each paid registration, and you can reprint it. Our free practice quizzes are open to everyone and do not give a certificate. The certificate shows that you completed our class. It is not a state certification and does not give credit.
Access
Online access, including the manual, quiz, and certificate, lasts 90 days from purchase. Your manual download link works for up to 3 downloads within 90 days of purchase. After 90 days, register again to take the certification quiz or get a new certificate; a certificate you already earned can still be reprinted. Please save your copy when you download it. If a download fails or you lose the file, contact us and we will help. You need an internet connection and a current web browser.
Records
We keep course records (enrollment details, study time, quiz results, evaluations and certificates) as described in our records policy.
One person per purchase
Each purchase is for one person. Please do not share your download link or the manual, and do not copy, post or resell class content, slides, videos or manuals. If you want training for a team, contact us and we will set it up.
Credit and certification
A class does not give state certification, continuing education or other credit unless that class page says so. Check with your certifying body about what it accepts. Passing an exam is up to you and the exam body.
Training information
Our classes are general training for operators. Examples come from a fictional training plant. Always follow your own plant procedures, permit, manufacturer instructions and safety rules. Class content does not replace them.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown on each class page, in US dollars. Payment is taken by a payment provider, and we do not store your card number. Refunds follow our refund policy: within 7 days of purchase if the student manual has not been downloaded more than once and the quiz has not been taken.
Our content
The classes, slides, manuals and videos belong to Wastewater Solutions, Inc. You may use them for your own learning.
Limits
We work to keep the site and classes available and correct, but we cannot promise they will always be free of errors or interruptions. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility to you is limited to the price you paid for the class.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the bottom of the page shows the latest update.
Which law applies
These terms follow the laws of the State of Hawaii.
