Privacy notice
What we collect, how we use it and your choices.
This notice explains what we collect when you use this site or take a class, and what we do with it. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Forms on this site. The name, email address and message you type into the contact form or the notify form.
- Purchases. Your name, email address, the class you bought, the date and the amount, and a count of how many times the manual was downloaded for that purchase.
- Quizzes and certificates. When you submit a certification quiz, we record the class, the time, your score and the payment reference. When you pass, we also record the name you typed, the date and the certificate number, so we can reprint or confirm your certificate later. Free practice quizzes run in your web browser and are not recorded.
- Class use. If classes are hosted on a learning platform, the platform keeps your sign-in and your progress through the class.
Card details
Payment is taken by a payment provider. Your card number goes to the provider and not to us.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to you, to deliver your class, to give support and to keep records for tax and accounts. We do not sell your information and we do not send it to advertisers.
Who else sees it
Only the payment provider and the platform that hosts the class, so they can do their part, and anyone the law requires us to tell.
How long we keep it
We keep messages as long as needed to answer them. We keep certificate records so we can confirm a certificate later. We keep purchase records for as long as tax and accounting rules need, proposed 7 years.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The class platform may use cookies that keep you signed in.
Security
The contact forms send your message to us by email. We use reasonable steps to protect what you send, but no method on the internet is fully secure.
Age
Our classes are for adults and are not meant for anyone under 18.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information through the Contact page. We will do what the law and our record-keeping rules allow.
Changes
We may update this notice. The date at the bottom of the page shows the latest update.
